The Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience is hosting an open day on Wednesday 28thJune 2023, between 10am and 4pm.
Join CAWR researches to learn about our work and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Ryton Organic Gardens.
The event is about mutual learning, as we all have something to teach each other. It will bring together researchers, students, allotment holders, farmers, gardeners and members of the public in the gardens, tipis and the Chapel of Many.
Activities will include:
· Presentations on the centre’s world-leading research into food and water (local, national and international)
· Tours of the gardens and the community-supported agriculture farm, 5 Acres Community horticulture stalls
· Discussion groups, plant art activities and poetry readings
· Demonstrations, including how to prepare succulent hanging baskets
A selection of food stalls will be available but please feel free to bring a picnic.
